An international partnership between New College Lanarkshire and two universities in China has taken a step forward following a recent visit.

Staff members from the College joined the College’s representative in China, Jingtao Li, on a two-week visit to discuss its dental nursing programmes currently running in the country.

Ann Baxter, Assistant Principal: Quality, Jennifer Lowe, Assistant Head of Faculty: Care and Science, and Hazel Scott, International Manager: Business Development visited the country to discuss the partnership, which involves the joint delivery of programmes in dental nursing, including the College’s provision of online resources as well as staff training and student exchange opportunities.

They met with partners at Chifeng University in the Inner Mongolia Province and Youjiang University in Guangxi Zhuang Province, to discuss the future of the partnership and further strengthen relations. During the visit, Ann and Jennifer also had the opportunity to deliver bespoke lectures to nursing students at both universities.

The group also then travelled to Heze city in Shandong Province to meet new partners at Heze Medical College and discuss entering into a similar partnership agreement for dental nursing.
