The College recently welcomed members of Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) in Wisconsin following the development of a new partnership with the USA organisation.
Representatives from the Business Development Team, Faculty of Automotive & Engineering and Faculty of Computing & Creative Industries met with the Dean of Skilled Trades at CVTC, Jeff Sullivan and Programme Director for IT, Eric Brusky to discuss the education systems in Scotland and the USA.
The group focussed on apprenticeship programmes, with input from Skills Development Scotland, who delivered presentations on Scottish Apprenticeship programmes and careers guidance.
They also met with Susan Wilson, Principal Officer for the U.S. Consulate General and Robbie McGregor, Programmes and Engagement Manager from the U.S. Consulate Offices in Edinburgh to discuss the importance of the US-Scotland relationship.
Hazel Scott, International Activities Manager, said: “The visit was a great success and significant progress has been made on the partnership activities and objectives in both the short and long term.”
