Donations for Christmas appeal still being accepted

Donations are coming in for the Christmas Shoebox Appeal but the organisers are still looking for your help!

NQ Administration and IT students are collecting items for shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse, which sends essentials and toys to children living in poverty.

They have already had a fantastic amount of donations across all campuses but are appealing for more!

Some of the students have been raising awareness at the Tesco Extra in Cumbernauld, just adjacent to the College Campus. Kirsty McCormack, Kirsty Clark and Vikki Little were presented with boxes and gifts presented by Tesco Community Champion, Allana Morrison, on behalf of the staff and shoppers of Tesco.

Now it’s your turn to get involved!

You can donate toys, school supplies, hygiene items, small items of clothing (e.g. hats, gloves, scarves, socks), accessories and (non-chocolate) sweets with a sell-by date of before March 2018.

These can be donated at any campus reception. The NQ Administration and IT class will pack and check all shoeboxes before handing them over to the organisation.

Donations can also be made at any of New College Lanarkshire’s receptions or Students’ Association desks.

The deadline for handing in donations is Wednesday 29th November 2017.

If anyone needs a shoebox, please contact Beatrice Soutar (Beatrice.Soutar@nclan.ac.uk)

If anyone took a box but didn't use it could they please leave it at the Student Association desk or at Reception in any campus.
