Why Kirkintilloch?

Top quality education

Kirkintilloch gives you all the benefits of a more laid-back way of studying, with half hourly access to Glasgow.

The campus is on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, but it’s also at the heart of local enterprise in the recently developed Southbank Business and Leisure Park, and a stone’s throw away from Kirkintilloch town centre. With modern facilities, great courses and enthusiastic lecturers, you’ll enjoy learning here.

In a town known as the ‘Canal Capital of Scotland’, it’s only fitting that our Kirkintilloch Campus sits on the banks of one of Scotland’s rejuvenated waterways.

The Campus forms part of the Southbank business and leisure park, with many of our learning and social spaces overlooking the Forth and Clyde Canal.

Students can take advantage of the ground floor café, the Fusion hair and beauty salon, bespoke art and design workspaces, a well-equipped learning and study centre as well as a lively social area.

Our staff and students can also play a part in the annual Kirkintilloch Canal Festival.

Got some well-earned time off?

Kirkintilloch is a great base for exploring the great outdoors – why not climb Meikle Bin or go for a long walk along the canal to the Auchinstarry Marina, near Kilsyth? It’s also worth visiting Peel Park to see remains of the Antonine Wall as well as taking in beautiful views over the Campsie Fells.

Did you know?

A quarry on the outskirts of Kirkintilloch doubled as Iraq for sequences in Greg McHugh’s ‘Gary: Tank Commander’ comedy TV series.
