Corrie Stewart

Corrie Stewart, 23, from Kirkintilloch, began her career on a pre-apprenticeship course at New College Lanarkshire which led to her undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship in Electronic Fire and Security Systems via CSS (Connelly Security Systems).

Corrie Stewart, 23, from Kirkintilloch, began her career on a pre-apprenticeship course at New College Lanarkshire which led to her undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship in Electronic Fire and Security Systems via CSS (Connelly Security Systems).

During her time as an apprentice she won numerous accolades and awards, including second place at the Security and Fire Excellence awards 2017 in London. She is now employed by the College as a workbase assessor for fire and securities courses.

Corrie said: "I was one of the first females to attend New College Lanarkshire on the Modern Apprenticeship and was so glad that I was just treated as part of the team, never any different. I made great friends through this and now through working at the College I’m finding that more females are joining the MA course, I highly recommend it.”
