What we provide

The Extended Learning Support team is committed to providing high quality support to meet the needs of the individual learners. Following the needs-led model, our aim is to identify and provide appropriate support measures which will aid, develop and encourage all our learners to fulfil their academic potential.

The team can offer a wide range of support measures and has specific resources available to assist learners with:

  • Specific learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia;
  • Physical disability/mobility difficulties;
  • Sensory impairment;
  • Medical/health problems;
  • Mental health problems;
  • Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties;
  • Any other issue impacting on their studies



The support you can expect to receive from the team includes having a named Educational Support Advisor, who will liaise with teaching and other support teams as appropriate to ensure a co-ordinated approach to support your learning. 

We also offer, adult literacy & numeracy support, classroom and communication support, as well as having a range of equipment and assistive technology which may benefit your studies.
