What's it all about

Congratulations! You have taken the first step to becoming the next President or Vice President of New College Lanarkshire Students’ Association (NCLSA).

This is a great opportunity for you to represent over 25,000 students in the Lanarkshire region.

The NCLSA campaigns to improve all aspects of the NCL student experience.  It is led and run by students of the College.

As President or Vice President of NCLSA, you will represent the student voice through organising campaigns and working in partnership with the Senior Management Team, and on a national level will be responsible for influencing MPs, MSPs, local councillors and working with the National Union of Students. 

Key Dates

  • 18 April: Nominations open
  • 25 April: 12 noon - Nominations close
  • 28 April: 4 pm - Mandatory candidate briefing
  • 2-11 May: Campaigning period begins (candidate material published)
  • 9 - 11 May: Elections take place
  • 12 May: 4 pm - Results announced

I hope to keep everyone feeling included in the college and make sure no one is feeling left out. I want to make sure the college stays as a nice place to come study at and make sure the students can also have fun whilst working hard. I want to make sure every student is always feeling good and don’t feel left out by anyone.
