Students' Association

Talk to us about...

  • Independent advice relating to any aspect that affects your college learning experience.
  • Representation, advice and support for class matters, resources or learning environment.
  • Getting involved in activities outside of class such as charity fundraising or clubs.
  • You want the support of your Learner Engagement Team and/or Students' Association to have your voice heard and your college needs met, in a respectful environment – both to staff and students.

What we do...

The Students’ Association is the representative body for all students of New College Lanarkshire. All students of the College are members of the Students’ Association – we are run by students, for students.

We are the bridge between students and New College Lanarkshire. We represent your issues through regular conversations, formal and informal, with senior management, working in partnership with the college to make the student experience as best as it possibly can be. The Students’ Association also represents College students locally, meeting regularly with MPs, MSPs and local councillors, and nationally alongside the National Union of Students.

We organise events and run clubs, so it’s a great way to meet people.  Importantly, we have a say on major issues, policies, procedures and other big decisions that impact our student experience at the College.

The President and Vice President lead the Students’ Association to ensure that the interests and views of the student body of New College Lanarkshire influences their work and how they represent you to the College and other bodies.
