What is FWDF?

The Flexible Work Force Development Fund is open to all Scottish employers, including SMEs. The fund allows you to address priority skills gaps and invest in your workforce though training and personal development. 

The fund aims to encourage innovation in the economy, drive inclusive and sustainable growth, ensure a productive and engaged workforce capable of meeting the needs of employers and increase productivity in the workplace.

How much is available?

  • Levy-paying employers can access up to £15,000 with wider access through colleges or Skills Development Scotland (SDS) in 2020/21.

  • SMEs (any business with less than 250 employees) will be able to access up to £5,000 through the college in 2020/21.

Are you a
Lanarkshire employer?

Apply today for up to £15,000 of funding (Levy-paying) and £5000 (SMEs) to train employees in partnership with New College Lanarkshire. Experts in the field will train your staff in line with your organisational objectives.

Choose an existing training package or get in touch by emailing fwdf@nclan.ac.uk to have a bespoke package created.

The fund has benefited many Lanarkshire employers and the development of their workforce, such as NHS Lanakrshire, Liberty Steel and Enable Scotland.
