Following the First Minister’s announcement on Tuesday 23rd February, our three main campuses will reopen on a restricted basis to a limited number of students on Monday 15th March.
Please read below full details on who this affects, how long will this last and who you should speak to if you have any questions.
Government guidelines state that we need to keep the number of students on campus as low as possible (a maximum of 5% of the capacity of each campus), so the vast majority of learning at NCL will continue to be online.
In line with Government guidance, students who can return are those who have practical work that is “time-sensitive and critical to the successful conclusion of their studies, and it is absolutely not possible to deliver remotely or postpone.”
During this first phase of reopening, priority will be given in particular to those students who are deferred from last academic year.
If you are due on campus, we will be in touch with you directly on Monday 8th March with full information on when to attend.
Please do not come into campus buildings until advised to do so.
These arrangements are expected to be in place until at least Thursday 1st April. We expect that further arrangements will be made after the Easter holidays.
If you are not back onto campus this month, please don’t worry. We are constantly monitoring the situation, and looking at ways to ensure all students can complete their courses as planned.
If you have any questions about your course, please email your lecturer directly. For any other questions, please email them to ncltogether@nclan.ac.uk with your name and student number.
Please remember that as one of our students, you have access to a range of specialist support services to help you during term time and holidays. We have created a Student Support Guide to let you know about all the ways we can support you. It also lets you know about other organisations that can help.
If you are experiencing a crisis and need urgent help, please contact your student adviser at studentadviser@nclan.ac.uk
