Overview

The HNC in Construction Management develops knowledge and skills in areas such as building measurement and cost studies, building science, building services, construction materials and specifications, as well as health and safety in construction.

Candidates will gain vocational skills including study, research, analysis, planning and organisational skills. 

The course is taught within a classroom environment with practical experience gained from workshops, field trips and site visits. The part-time course will take place every Tuesday and Thursday.

 

Entry

Minimum entry requirements

  • One Higher at Grade C or above including Mathematics or a Science subject

OR

  • National Qualification at SCQF level 6 in Built Environment

OR

  • An SVQ in Construction or a related discipline

OR

  • Other equivalent qualifications or experience
