This course will provide the underpinning knowledge, skills and expertise to enable registration with the General Dental Council.
Students will attend 4 days per week, 2 days in a dental placement and 2 days at College.
In year 1 you will develop the skills required to work safely and effectively as a member of the dental team, this experience will support portfolio development which is a requirement of this qualification. In addition, knowledge will be developed via taught lessons in college and this will prepare you for the external assessment associated with year 1 of the HND Dental Nursing.
Please note: A financial payment will be made by each learner as a contribution towards: PVGs, uniforms, immunisations, health clearance checks, kits and text books.
Two Highers at Grade C or above, one of which should be English.
Participation at an information session, skills assessment and interview forms part of the selection criteria.
Your place on the course will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Scotland check in the form of an enhanced PVG.
You will be required to be immunised in line with Occupational Health's recommendation.
