This programme is designed to prepare candidates to enter the world of work within a Care Setting. It aims to enable learners to be successful in making, and sustaining, the transition from non-work environments into employment or possibly to progress on to stage 4 Clinical Support. The Entry to Health and Social Care gives learners a recognisable qualification, to show employers they have underpinning knowledge to prepare them for the workplace.

Applicants must 18+ years of age and reside in North or South Lanarkshire
Employability Fund places are subject to college interview and assessment. Eligibility for these programmes is dependent on Skills Development Scotland & Job Centre operating rules.
For those in receipt of Department of Work and Pensions benefits please apply for the course via your Job Centre Advisor. Learners currently on the Work Programme are not eligible for Employability Fund Programmes.
The course will consist of 5 weeks classroom-based learning followed by 4 weeks work placement with a Care Provider throughout Lanarkshire and covers the following:
Includes First Aid and Moving & Handling.
Employment within the Care, or other, sector, progress to stage 4 Clinical course, or other FE course.
