For the majority of courses you will have to submit your qualifications. Mature students may not need to meet the entry requirements.
This is to help the faculties decide if you are applying for the correct level of course.
If you do not know your qualifications please visit the SQA website to create an account with My SQA, this will allow you to print off a copy of your qualifications.
Please note this is not a certificate.
The personal statement section of the application gives you an opportunity to sell yourself on your application.
This section allows you to tell the faculty about yourself and your reasons for choosing the course. Some courses can have thousands of fantastic applicants so tell us why you really stand out and deserve a place.
The My World of Work website can help you with how to write this, please click here https://www.myworldofwork.co.uk/learn-and-train/tutorial-writing-personal-statement-ucas-or-college-application
Our teaching staff are not in college over the summer break so don’t be disheartened if you don’t hear anything during this time.
Some interviews may be scheduled during this time but the majority of interviews will take place once the staff return mid-August.
Please note that interviews may be arranged at very short notice during this busy period.
Your application may not have been successful for several reasons, such as not meeting the entry criteria, competitive entry, a high volume of applications or having a poor personal statement.
If you have been unsuccessful in your application, you can email our student advisers to discuss - they can be reached by emailing StudentAdviser@nclan.ac.uk.
If you need to update your address or any other information on your application after it has been submitted please email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are a returning student you will have to speak with our Student Records team to ensure they have the correct information for your certificates. You can reach them by emailing email@example.com.
Please be aware that you can only apply for three full-time courses.
