Overview

This is a course primarily aimed at returning adults who have been out of mainstream education for some time or people who have few or no academic qualifications and are keen to access Higher Education/University, but who may not be able to do so via the traditional routes. The course offers a supportive learning experience to study SQA units which have been agreed with SWAP (Scottish Wider Access Programme). It is an exciting one year course with possible progression routes to Higher Education.

 

 

Entry

Applicants who have been out of formal education, and with few or no qualifications, may be considered for this course or applicants who are looking for a complete change of direction.

The course is supported through SWAP (Scottish Wider Access Programme). All eligible applicants will be invited for interview. For SWAP registration please see the SWAP website to check individual eligibility and further information.

Other subjects may be included in the programme such as Geography and Criminology.

You will be assessed on an ongoing basis using practical assessments, assignments and case studies. There is no final examination.
