Coatbridge students showed their caring side after a successful fundraising morning which raised £267 for charity.

Students from the Pathways to Care course organised the morning to raise funds for Epilepsy Scotland and an animal charity which supports and re-homes guinea pigs.

They raised the fantastic amount through a bake sale and tombola – with so many prizes up for grabs they had to be displayed on chairs as well as tables!

The students showed their entrepreneurial flair getting staff and students involved and talking to them about their chosen charities.

The group then set off on a sponsored pyjama walk around Dunbeth Park in the rain!

Lecturer Pamela Lippiatt said: “The fundraising morning was a great success and the students’ preparation and hard work paid off!

“The money raised will be split between Epilepsy Scotland and the purchase of food and bedding for the animal charity.

“Huge thanks to all those who got involved and donated so generously!”
