An Art and Design graduate from New College Lanarkshire has opened her own tattoo parlour in Lanark.

25-year-old Dannielle McFarlane, who completed her tattoo artist apprenticeship while studying HND Art and Design at the College, opened the doors to Leather and Lace on Lanark High Street last month.

Former lecturers Kelly Cunningham and Sandra Ord were invited to the opening event where Dannielle paid tribute to all who helped her on her journey to opening her own business.

Kelly said: “We are immensely proud of what Danni has achieved since completing her studies in 2016 so it was an honour to be invited to the opening of Leather and Lace.

“Danni is passionate about her art and very driven so it is fantastic to see her ambitions take shape.

“We wish her all the best for the future.”

Leather and Lace can be found at 106 High Street, Lanark, ML11 7ES.
