Around 135,000 candidates across Scotland will today receive the results of their National, Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications.

There is still availability in courses at our Coatbridge Campus in Accounting to Animation and Make-up Artistry to Music Business.

At our Cumbernauld Campus, there are spaces available on courses in Business Management & Marketing, Computing, Film, TV & Radio, and Sound Production.

The dedicated sports campus at Broadwood Stadium has a wide range of courses in football, rugby and fitness taught by former professional players.

At Motherwell and Hamilton campuses, why not take the first step on the road to a career in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Engineering or Performing Arts?

Carolyn Laird, Assistant Principal of Learning and Teaching, said: “The ‘clearing’ system at New College Lanarkshire offers an exciting opportunity for anyone who receives their exam results and is unsure of what path to take next.

“College can be a great route to further study or employment, so I would encourage anyone considering a course starting this academic year to visit our website or give us a call to learn more about the fantastic range of courses that we still have available.”

The College has teamed up with Capital FM to reward pupils and students across Scotland for all their hard work.

Garry Spence will be giving away five lots of £100 vouchers on his Capital Drive show on Tuesday 6 August (4–7pm).

For anyone looking for advice on where to go next, Skills Development Scotland’s (SDS) Exam Results Helpline provides information and support for young people and their parents and carers.

SDS also has a number of drop-in careers centres, including those in Airdrie, Cumbernauld, Hamilton, Kirkintilloch and Motherwell.

The Airdrie office is hosting a dedicated Exam Results event today from 2–4pm at its careers centre at 61 Stirling Street.

James Russell, SDS’s Director of Career Information, Advice & Guidance Operations, said: “If your results aren’t what you expected, don’t panic, you have lots of options.

“Our careers advisers are here to help you and your parents and carers with information on all the options and opportunities on offer.”

The SDS Exam Results Helpline is open 8am to 8pm on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 August, and from 9am to 5pm weekdays from Thursday 8 until Wednesday 14 August.
