It is a good idea to make use of the college email as much of our college-wide communication comes this way, such as from Student Funding, marketing and communications information. You may also get information on any changes to arrangements for your specific course this way. Letters may be sent as attachments to an email.
Key Support Advisers may contact you by text if you are absent, or if they are asked by Faculty to contact and share a message with you regarding specific classes.
Class tutors may communicate via a group or individual message on Moodle. This is sent to the email address that is in the Moodle system. You can change this under profile. Lecturers using Mahara with classes can also send messages regarding course arrangements.
Each full-time class will have a nominated Class representative. Occasionally, reps are asked to pass messages on to a class group. This is often done face-to-face – all the more important to be present in college for all timetabled sessions, so you don’t miss out!
