Student Advisers

What we do

The Student Advisers offer support in a confidential and impartial manner, helping you with any personal issues you are experiencing both at home and at college. We offer a listening service for those who may require one-to-one support to help in achieving their goals.

The Student Advisers can:

  • Provide information, advice and guidance
  • Provide pastoral support (listening services)
  • Refer to college counselling services
  • Accompany students throughout the process of Disciplinary/Appeals/Faculty liaison meetings
  • Advise students and staff on Policy and Procedures
  • Deliver UCAS information sessions
  • Offer feedback on UCAS personal statements
  • Signpost to other services, both internal and external

Additional Information
The majority of advisers are Safeguarding Officers who have undergone applied suicide intervention skills training (ASIST).
