New College Lanarkshire, in the Heart of Scotland.
All of our campuses have excellent transport links to Glasgow city centre, one of Europe’s most fashionable and lively cities. Glasgow is now the UK’s third most popular tourist destination. It has an exciting lifestyle and the largest learner population in Scotland.
Lanarkshire is a vibrant region, with new and historic towns and villages, offering both urban and rural spaces to live.
It is also a base for world-leading businesses, that’s why you’ll find companies like Coca-Cola and Morgan Stanley flourishing in Lanarkshire.
We play a lot of sport and enjoy a lot of outdoor activities. There are pubs, cafés and restaurants for socialising. For those who enjoy more cultural pursuits, there are theatres, concert halls and cinemas.
Lanarkshire is only 30 minutes by road from Glasgow city centre and 40 minutes from Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.
Our newly merged College which combines Coatbridge, Cumbernauld and Motherwell Colleges now has a shared culture making it better placed to meet the needs of students, of staff, of employers, of stakeholders and to meet future challenges facing the sector and our communities.
New College Lanarkshire will operate from existing campuses in Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Kirkintilloch and Motherwell with links to community learning centres across the region.
The proposal to merge is aligned with the Scottish Government's Reform of Post–16 Education and the College Regionalisation Agenda.
New College Lanarkshire provides learning opportunities right across Lanarkshire and caters for the needs of over 25,000 students. It builds on the existing reputation for teaching of the highest quality and is a great boost to economic development throughout Lanarkshire and beyond.
