Overview

So, you have bought your first camera and you want to advance your photography skills? Why not come along to learn how to take portraits, landscapes and still life images. You will have a chance to get creative with fast and slow-moving objects, Shallow and extensive Depth of field and light-painting techniques. 

This course offers you the chance to learn the basic skills needed to confidently operate your camera, understand how light and the camera work, and have fun creating some amazing images along the way.

Entry

There are no formal entry requirements, but you should demonstrate an interest in photography.

Important note: A DSLR camera will be required for this course.

Learn

On this course, you will learn how to use your own digital camera and manage your digital files, introduce compositional elements into your images and evaluate yours and other photographer’s work. 

You will cover areas such as: 

  • Camera Techniques 
  • Shutter Speed 
  • Aperture 
  • ISO 
  • Focal lengths 
  • Evaluating images 


Please note: As part of the course, you will be required to have your own camera, preferably a DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex Camera)
