Overview


This course introduces the skills and knowledge required to access our higher-level Computing and Digital Media courses. An ideal starting point for school leavers or adult returners who are looking to progress onto a more advanced computing course.

Course Information


Two National 4 qualifications OR Four National 3 qualifications.

Previous employment or practical experience may be considered in place of formal entry qualifications.

 

Please note: Entry is also subject to a satisfactory interview, and an academic reference may be requested.

Covering a wide range of computing and digital subjects this course allows you to find out which area you would like to learn more about. It also includes a Level 4 National Progression Award in Digital Media and a Level 4 National Progression Award in Data Science.

You will have the opportunity to learn about:

  • Computer Hardware and Systems
  • Digital Media – Still Images, Moving Images and Audio

 

On successful completion of this course you can choose to develop your skills further by progressing onto a relevant NQ Level 5 course within the Department.
