Intro to Social Sciences with Social Justice is a fresh, exciting programme designed for people who want to understand the world around them, challenge inequality, and build the confidence and skills to make a real difference in their communities.
Entry
There are no formal qualifications required. However, successful candidates are required to undertake an interview and a short task.
Learn
You’ll explore the big issues affecting people today: poverty, discrimination, identity, mental wellbeing, community safety and discover how cycles of disadvantage are created, and more importantly, how they can be broken.
This isn’t a sit-back‑-and‑-take‑-notes kind of course. You’ll get involved in real projects, work with local organisations, create campaigns, investigate issues that matter to you, and build a portfolio you can be proud of. You’ll learn how to speak up, work with others, and take action. Along the way, you’ll develop skills that employers and colleges love: communication, teamwork, digital skills, critical thinking, and community engagement.
