Overview

Never held a make-up brush professionally? Perfect. Start here.

This is your first step into the world of professional Fashion & Media make-up, and you don't need any experience to take it.

You'll explore various exciting areas: bridal and evening make-up, character make-up, and long hair design. From soft, romantic bridal looks and polished evening glam to transformative character work, you'll learn how to create a complete look from skin to styling.

This isn't about practising on yourself. You'll work on real faces, building the confidence and communication skills that every professional artist needs: how to put someone at ease, deliver a look they love and work to an industry brief. You'll leave with real insight into what it takes to work as a make-up artist in the worlds of fashion and media.

Not sure which direction suits you? That's the point. This course lets you explore, find what lights you up and then take it further. It's your springboard onto The Art of Fashion and Media Make-up (SCQF Level 6), so you'll finish with new skills, real confidence and a clear route forward.

Start with the basics. Finish with a career.
