NQ Introduction to Esports
Overview
You will develop knowledge and skills of the video games industry alongside a range of transferable skills that can be used in any career. You will explore the UK gaming industry, while understanding how performance can impact your gameplay, the creation of an Esports brand, organisation of an Esports tournament and building your own live-stream broadcast.
Entry
No formal qualifications are required; however, it is desirable that students possess one of the following:
- Core Skills in ICT or Numeracy at SCQF Level 4/5
- National Units in Computing or Maths
Learn
The programme offers you the opportunity to attain the SQA National Progression Award in Esports. With units such as an introduction to Esports, and exploring the UK gaming industry, while understanding how performance can impact your gameplay, the creation of an Esports brand, organisation of an Esports tournament and building your own live-stream broadcast.
