The Lanarkshire Business Hub kicked off the new decade with a packed networking event at DoubleTree by Hilton Hilton Glasgow Strathclyde.
The January event welcomed 94 local business representatives who enjoyed presentations and networking sessions.
Lanarkshire Business Hub offers local businesses a free forum to come together to meet and share their business knowledge and experiences through networking and business presentations. The events are run by New College Lanarkshire and sponsored by North and South Lanarkshire Councils.
Run in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce, presentations were given from Graham Robertson from Get the Gen, who covered the different traits of each generation in the workplace. He was followed by Helen Allison from Skills Development Scotland who spoke about the apprenticeship family and how employers can get involved.
Following the event, one attendee said: “I was very impressed by the keynote speaker, and made four new contacts, which shall hopefully bring some work in the future.”
Another said: “Excellent value – very interesting speakers to clearly an interested audience. My first event but definitely not the last.”
The next event will take place on Tuesday 25th February at Macdonald Crutherland House Hotel in East Kilbride and will be run in partnership with the Lanarkshire Business Group.
