This exciting computing course is suitable for school leavers or mature students wishing to develop their technical skills or progress onto further study in computing.
There is a current skills shortage in the field of Cyber Security to defend against cyber-attacks. This course includes the NPA in Cyber Security covering the core elements of Data Security, Digital Forensics and Ethical Hacking. Also included is the NPA in Professional Computer Fundamentals which is linked to the Microsoft Technology Associate programme, students will study Networking Fundamentals, Server Administration Fundamentals and Security Fundamentals and are encouraged the appropriate Microsoft exams as part of this course.
Four National 5 passes (preferably including Computing Science or Mathematics) OR a NQ qualification at Level 5 in a computing-related area
Previous employment or practical experience may be considered in place of formal entry requirements if you demonstrate a real interest in the subject

This course will develop your skills in hardware, software and applications, as well as introduce you to new areas such as networking and programming. It also includes a Level 6 National Progression Award in Cyber Security.
