
Introduction to Film Making

Overview
This course will give you a thorough introduction to the planning, development and creation of a variety of broadcast media. You’ll learn how to plan, produce and edit programmes using industry-standard software in our creative labs. You will also learn about the core components of film and TV production: camera, lighting, editing and sound. The course is highly practical and project-based, and you will complete a portfolio of work throughout the course.
Entry
One of the following:
- Four National 4 passes
- Four Standard Grade passes
- Equivalent groups of modules, units or courses at Intermediate 1/2
- Relevant experience may also be considered. You will also be required to undertake an interview
Learn
You will learn how to plan, produce and edit a variety of media using industry standard software in our creative labs. You will also learn about the core components of film and TV production: camera, lighting, editing and sound.
