Motorcycle Mechanics - Level 5
Overview
This qualification covers the technical needs for today’s motorcycle repair industry, including the diagnosis of non-complex system faults. It provides essential knowledge for service technicians working in motorcycle garages and dealerships. The qualification is recognised by the Sector Skills Council as a VRQ/Technical Certificate and can be used as knowledge evidence in a related Modern Apprenticeship programme.
Entry
SCQF level 4 qualification in a related subject area or relevant experience.
Learn
This programme involves studying both the theory and practical aspects of:
- Carrying out routine maintenance
- Removing and replacing: engine units and components, electrical auxiliary units and components, chassis/frame units and components
Assessments are in a dedicated motorcycle workshop environment and by online multiple choice testing.
