Course Information

01 Entry

Entry is by audition only, where you will be asked to demonstrate your singing, acting and dance skills (more details on application). This will enable a realistic assessment of your suitability for the qualification and awareness of the physical requirements of the course. Higher English and/or Higher Drama/Higher Music are recommended but not essential.

Some previous performance experience is preferred but applications are welcome from candidates of all levels.

02 Learn

This course focuses primarily on practical learning with mandatory units in:

  • acting
  • voice
  • singing
  • production
  • jazz
  • ballet
  • tap
  • musical theatre repertoire.

You will also be required to complete a Graded Unit.

Students also have the opportunity to perform in public productions throughout the academic year including a professional pantomime.

03 Progress

On completion you will be eligible to audition for entry to the HND Musical Theatre.
