Overview

Year two. Two shows, including a professional pantomime!

HND Musical Theatre builds on your HNC and turns training into professional readiness. You'll perform in two musical theatre productions across the year, one of them a professional pantomime, so you'll know what a real run feels like before you graduate.

You'll keep developing across acting, singing and dance with specialist lecturers in each discipline, supported by our Estill-trained voice staff, including two full-time Master Trainers.

This is also the year you prepare to work, through professional development that gets you audition-ready and industry-ready.

Entry

Who can apply
You'll need to have completed an HNC in Musical Theatre. External applications are welcome.

Your audition
You'll sing, act and dance for an audition panel, and have a short interview.
We're looking at how you've developed over the year, your versatility across all three disciplines and whether you're ready for a demanding second year.

What to prepare
We'll confirm your song and monologue requirements when we arrange your audition. The dance call is taught on the day.

On the day
Wear something you can move in and bring your dance shoes.
