Business and Administration Level 3

Modern Apprenticeships offer anyone aged over 16 paid employment combined with the opportunity to train for jobs across a wide range of sectors. They are an exciting way of gaining skills and qualifications that will help to start a career without having to study full-time. Modern Apprenticeships are supported by the Confederation of Business and Industry, the Trade Union Congress and a wide range of employers. All the Modern Apprenticeship frameworks are developed by the appropriate sector skills council in consultation with their industry. Modern Apprenticeship frameworks can also be used as the basis for training more established employees.

Candidates must be employed within an administrative role such as

Administrator
Administration Clerk
Administration Officer
Executive Officer
Administration Team Leader
Office Supervisor
Personal Assistant (PA)
Secretary

Candidates must create a paper or online portfolio of collected evidence from their daily work-load/tasks.

To achieve the Level 3 Business and Administration you must complete nine units in total.

From the SVQ element all three Mandatory Units must be completed plus five optional units that reflect the actual job/tasks undertaken by the Candidate. An additional enhancement must also be completed for the full MA to be achieved.

As a Modern Apprentice you will be employed from the very start of your training and will receive a wage from your employer. You will then be given the chance to develop expertise and knowledge through on-the-job assessment, as well as gaining vital skills such as teamwork and problem solving.

You’ll take on more responsibility within your team and be expected to work increasingly on your own initiative.

Once you’ve finished your Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship, you’ll be able to demonstrate strong administration and communication skills and progress your career in the industry of your choice.
