Visitors from a Chinese medical college recently visited New College Lanarkshire (NCL) to discuss joining forces to deliver dental nursing programmes in China.

Delegates from Heze Medical College in the Shandong Province met with NCL representatives at the College’s Coatbridge Campus to agree the terms for which the programmes will be delivered.

Mr Yu Zhousheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Mr Ma Jianwei, Section Chief of the International Office also had the chance to tour the Campus, which includes state-of-the-art dental facilities opened in 2016.

The visit precedes the launch of Heze Medical College’s £67m elderly care training facility in November, which NCL will be supporting through the delivery of staff and learner workshops and lecturers by lecturers June MacDonald and Lisa McCorkindale.  Both met with the delegation to provide a short presentation on their specialisms ahead of their visit.
