Overview

 

The Bakery & Pastry course is an ideal course if you have a very keen interest in becoming a pastry Chef, especially if you have an enthusiasm for pastry and pastry orientated products.  This programme builds on the skills developed in Bakery (SCQF Level 5) or equivalent course.   The course will be facilitated in practical, professional environment and follows a clear path to enhance employability skills and progression to advanced level pastry. 

Entry

Entry to this course is often via the Bakery (SCQF 5) course, or equivalent qualifications, on occasions appropriate industrial or home-based experience is also used to enter this level of qualification.   In addition to the above entry requirements, a desire to learn and a passion for baking and pastry will support your application to ensure success at your interview.

Learn

You will learn a wide and varied array of pastry and bakery orientated Knowledge, understanding and specialised skills, which would be prudent in a pastry orientated environment.  

You will have the opportunity to produce a range of sweets and desserts and master complex techniques and processes.
