In this fast-paced digital age, the security of information is critical across all sectors and industries. Recent security breaches have been widely reported and reinforce the importance of Cyber Security. The Scottish Government has identified digital skills as a key area for future investment and employment. 

This course will develop your knowledge of cyber security, with a focus on identifying security weaknesses safely, legally and ethically.

Digital roles underpin many employment sectors in Scotland and across the UK. Average earnings in the sector are significantly above the national average, and 12,800 new jobs are predicted to be filled every year until 2024.

This course will enhance the skills required for a career in cyber security, software development, and a wide range of computing-related roles.

Course Information

A HNC Cyber Security qualification is required to access this class.

You will develop existing knowledge and skills in the analysis of current trends in cybercrime, penetration testing on computer systems, digital forensics processes, evaluating digital evidence and creating security strategies for small businesses.

This course is designed to support and enhance the skills of applicants with some background in cyber security, and will improve employability skills in this area. This course could also prepare you for further study in a variety of computing-related disciplines.
