Future of engineering

A new era for engineering training in Lanarkshire has officially begun with the opening of Cairnhill and New College Lanarkshire's Welding School in Coatbridge - attended by NCL Principal Professor Christopher Moore.

Professor Christopher Moore, said: "The precision and quality of their steel work shows they are inheritors of a proud Lanarkshire tradition. I am particularly grateful that they've committed to supporting our Social Value work, for the benefit of everyone in our communities. We look forward to working with them closely as they continue to expand."

Cairnhill is a market leader in steel fabrication and engineering, and this agreement will help ensure the workers are in place to maintain Lanarkshire's proud tradition of engineering excellence for years to come.
