Kind-hearted students from the Faculty of Supported learning recently did a sponsored walk around a local park to raise money for Marie Curie.
Students from the Access 8 class in the Motherwell Campus raised £152 from event, which involved them walking twice around Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge.
The amount will go towards the provision of care and support for people living with any terminal illness and their families.
Lecturer Alison Holmes said: “The students had been training for the walk by walking along the corridors and learning about healthy eating.
“They also focussed on healthy living for a few weeks leading up to the event – but were delighted to tuck into some chips in the café after walking around the water twice in the cold wind!”
