Overview

This course provides continuing students the chance to improve and develop their skills, and acts as an access route into a career in computing for those with relevant school qualifications or practical experience. This is a practical and hands on course giving the opportunity to learn skills and knowledge in a wide range of computing disciplines.  

Entry

Three National 4 qualifications (preferably including Computing Science, English and Mathematics) OR a NQ qualification at Level 4 in a computing related area. 


Previous employment or practical experience may be considered in place of formal entry requirements. Entry is also subject to a satisfactory interview, and an academic reference may be requested. 

Learn

This course will develop your skills in use of computer applications, as well as introduce you to new areas such as networking and programming. It also includes a Level 5 National Progression Award in Cyber Security.
