Overview
The course provides you with the opportunity to develop and enhance your English skills, using detailed English language.
Everyday life, work and study are the focus of this course and these will be fully explored and developed in the delivery of the course.
This course is undertaken either in a morning, afternoon or evening session for 36 weeks.
Students will be assessed via National examinations set by SQA within the May exam diet.
Entry
Intermediate1/National 4. If no certificate is available then candidates must undertake an ESOL placement test.
Learn
The course consists of two units:
- ESOL for Everyday Life: You will develop the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking needed for everyday life in personal, social and transactional contexts.
- ESOL in Context: You will develop the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking in the familiar contexts of work and study.
The course assessment has four components:
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Performance: Speaking and Listening
