Access to Creative Industries: Elevate
Overview
Access to the Creative Industries is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to take their first steps towards professional training in music, sound production and digital media.
Run in partnership with Elevate and Glasgow Council on Alcohol, the 18-week course introduces the main aspects of music and digital media production in a practical nature and within the local community environment. Successful applicants will spend one day at the Glasgow Council On Alcohol (GCA) Centre in Glasgow.
Entry
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in working in the music and sound production industry as part of their application and participate in a formal interview. Experience of using computing software and possessing good communication skills are desirable.
Prior relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Learn
Students will work on a selection of media projects counting towards a recognised qualification and offering progression to further education within a creative industry context. Having access to industry standard hardware and software the media projects will include Sound Production, Video Editing and Music Performance.
