Course overview

Study the BA Business Enterprise and Marketing at New College Lanarkshire in partnership with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS). Develop the entrepreneurial, business and marketing skills needed to start, grow or manage a successful business. Combining practical learning with real-world business insight, this degree prepares you for careers in entrepreneurship, marketing and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This degree is for people who want to develop their entrepreneurial skills and turn ideas into real business opportunities. You’ll learn how to start, grow and manage a business, with a strong focus on self-employment and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

You’ll build the knowledge and confidence to turn your passion into a successful venture. The course helps you identify your strengths, focus on your niche, and develop practical skills that set you apart.

By the end of the degree, you’ll not only graduate with a qualification but also with a portfolio of applied experience to support your future career or business journey.

Entry

HNC in a relevant vocational subject, such as Beauty Therapy, Photography or Sport subjects.

Applicants who hold alternative qualifications to a HNC may also be considered, provided that their qualification is at an equivalent level, subject to review. 

 

Learn

You’ll take part in a mix of lectures, workshops and practical projects. Assessments are designed to help you build real-world skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. They also give you the chance to tailor your work to the area of business or marketing you’d like to move into.

Assessments may include portfolios, presentations, reports, class tests and business model development.
