Overview

This course is suites to anyone responsible for managing and reducing work-related stress within their organisation, such as line managers, human resources and health and safety professionals. It is designed for those who wish to gain a greater understanding of workplace stress, the factors which affect it and how it can be managed and is relevant to any business, in any sector. 

On completion of the course the learner will be able to explain the business case for addressing workplace stress and associated mental health issues; understand the legal requirement for managing workplace stress; identify the aspects relating to workplace design which cause workplace stress and mental ill health; apply the HSE Management Standards to identifying and assessing stress risks; and develop interventions to reduce the causes and effects of workplace stress. The time for Day 2 of this course is 8.45 - 12.45
