Overview
This qualification covers the technical needs for today’s motor vehicle painting/refinishing industry, including: basic repair and preparation procedures. It provides essential knowledge for vehicle paint operators working on a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and specialist body and paint businesses.
The qualification is recognised by the Sector Skills Council as a VRQ/Technical Certificate and can be used as knowledge evidence in a related Modern Apprenticeship programme.
Entry
Level 4 qualification in a related subject area or relevant experience.
Learn
This programme involves studying both the theory and practical aspects of: preparing panels to accept foundation and topcoats, preparing and applying foundation materials to vehicles and repairing minor paint defects.
