The HNC in Professional Cookery (SCQF level 7) develops knowledge and skills in areas such as specialist culinary skills, food hygiene and control systems. Learners will specialise in production cookery, gaining valuable leadership skills and an understanding of the role of the supervisor. (SQA, 2023)


Completion of Professional Chef (Level 6) or City and Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 2, appropriate industrial experience and success at competitive interview.
