SWAP Access to ESOL with Business
Overview
This exciting new course offers you the opportunity to study ESOL and Business as a full time student. ESOL courses (English for Speakers of Other Languages) are for people whose first language is not English. This course will help you to improve your English speaking, listening, reading and writing to Higher level; as well as develop your understanding of Business.
Entry
Applicants should have achieved National 4 ESOL or equivalent. Alternative qualifications and experience may be accepted. All applicants will be asked to complete a short screening exercise to help NCL support your application.
Applicants residency status will be considered on an individual basis.
Learn
This exciting new level 5/6 course will cover the national SQA units delivered within the nationally recognised Nat 5 and Higher ESOL group awards. Students will develop English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking within a range of contexts including, work, study and everyday life.
Students will also study Marketing, IT, Understanding Business and Personal Finance.
This unique oportunity will be delivered in partnership with the Scottish Wider Access Programme and the Lanarkshire Business School.
