Overview

The HNC Hospitality Operations Programme (1st year degree equivalent) will equip you with a wide array of knowledge, understanding and awarenss at a supervisory level. The content of the programme will be linked to industry standards which will promote employability within the diverse Hospitality Industry. 

The programme will not only enable you to achieve a HNC group award but you will also be accruing credits towards the HND Hospitality Management award.

As a student of the Culinary Arts Department, you would also be given opportunity to be part of the extracurricular activity that takes place each academic session, for example Culinary Arts/Hospitality orientated competitions, Industry visits, masterclasses etc.  Choose a course with the Department of Culinary Arts and you will have an invaluable college experience, ensuring you are at the forefront of Hospitality & Culinary Arts, enhancing your life chances and opportunities. 

 

Entry

External candidates would be required to have a minimum of 1 Higher at a C grade or above, alternatively external candidates would be considered if they have significant and appropriate Hospitality Industry experience or suitable vocational qualification at ACQF Level 5 or 6. 

SCQF Level 5\6 Hospitality and Professional Cookery would also be considered for entry at this level of study either by external or progressing candidates. 

In addition to the entry qualifications/experience, the motivation and willingness to learn and embark upon a career within the Hospitality Industry is essential.
