This course is ideal for anyone looking to start an exciting and rewarding career in dental nursing. You’ll develop the practical skills, professional knowledge and confidence needed to work as part of a dental team and support patients throughout their dental nursing journey.

Whether you’re looking to begin your career as a dental nurse or gain employment through a Modern Apprenticeship, this course provides an excellent foundation for progressing into the dental profession. With hands on learning in a dental practice with a focus on real dental nursing skills, you’ll be well prepared to take the next step towards a fulfilling career in dental nursing.

We will provide you with a PVG, Immunisation and Uniforms before you start your dental practice placement.

Entry

No formal entry requirements are required to gain entry to this course. Applicants would be expected to demonstrate an interest in working as part of a dental team.

Participation at an information session, skills assessment and interview forms part of the selection criteria. Your place on the course will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Scotland check in the form of an enhanced PVG. You will be required to be immunised in line with Occupational Health's recommendation.
