Overview
This course is an ideal introduction if you have considered counselling either as employment or as a volunteer. You will study the various aspects of and settings within which counselling takes place. It is designed as an introduction and not as a counselling qualification that will lead directly to employment.
This course provides opportunities for personal development as well as a qualification which can be recorded on a Curriculum Vitae when making an application for employment in this field.

Learn
The unit introduces basic concepts and processes of counselling and reflective practice. It provides underpinning and basic knowledge of the subject. It does not in any way permit those who have achieved it to refer to themselves as qualified counsellors.
