• Successful completion of the following courses: Health and Social Care Level 6 or SVQ Level 3 Social Services and Healthcare.
• Or 2 Highers - one of which should be English at Level C or above
• Or relevant experience

• Applications may be considered from individuals, who have successfully achieved the SCQF Level 6 Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services and Healthcare.

Please note:

• Participation at an information session, skills assessment and interview forms part of the selection criteria.
• Your place on the course will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Scotland check in the form of an enhanced PVG.  
• You will require a Fit note issued by Occupational Health.
• A financial payment will be made by each student as a contribution towards PVGs, uniforms, immunisations, health clearance checks, kits and textbooks.

On completion of this course there is opportunity to apply for employment within various careers within the Care sector, such as Senior Healthcare Support Worker (SHCSW) (SCQF level 7) role within a clinical setting.

It will also appeal to those seeking to progress to a degree programme in Nursing, Midwifery (additional study may be required for this branch of nursing)or Allied Health Care.
